Solidarity Section

The AE Solidarity Section is divided in four sub-sections:

The objective of this section is to come to the aid of any student, be it financially or morally, but also to prevent and act against certain behaviors. In short, to maintain and develop a student life rich in cohesion, support and tranquility.

Precarity sub-section

This sub-section aims to help students who are in financial difficulty. We can offer financial or material aid to students who are in real need. We work hand in hand with the social workers of the Francoise Maigne School for engineers (francoise.maigne@isae-supaero.fr) and Chantal Houniaux, for masters
(chantal.jouniaux@isae-supaero.fr).

We can offer the following help:

  • Financial help in the form of a Carrefour card up to 250€.
  • Bridge loan from the AE without any fee.
  • Project loan from the AE without any fee.

Handicap sub-section

This sub-section acts as a link between the administration and the students. It offers everyone the opportunity to take part in disability-related initiatives (such as a Hackathon in a mixed team with autistic people, for example), allows students who wish to carry out disability-related projects to get started, and offers people who have already launched disability-related projects the opportunity to promote them (by registering for the HandiTech trophy, for example).

Addiction sub-section

The objective of this newly created sub-section is to raise awareness about drug use among students, but also to accompany those who are in a situation of addiction. The first actions will focus on the upcoming integration of newly admitted students.

Harassment sub-section

This cluster manages all HDVS (Harassment, Discrimination, Sexist and Sexual Violence) issues. It has both a prevention and an action role.

As far as prevention is concerned, it sets up anti-harassment campaigns (one of which is being prepared for the upcoming integration), training for ordinary students, but also and especially for students with a position of responsibility within the AE, the WEI or even the integration. Also, a charter of commitment concerning both students and staff and professors of the school is being finalized.

As far as action is concerned, this sub-section has set up an inter-student think tank around these topics, as well as a “listening cell” available to students wishing to report a potential uneasiness and wishing to be helped either by the sub-section or by professionals to whom they are redirected.
